What does Speciality Nursing and Infusion services mean?
It means we have specially skilled nurses to administer medications by infusion (IV drip) in patients homes or in a community clinic. This service is primarily for patients that suffer from a range of diseases and conditions. Patients just need to ask their doctor if they are a candidate for community treatments .
How does my existing Doctor work with your service?
Your consultant can refer you to Point of Care if they are satisfied that your condition can be treated in a community clinic or at home. We administer medical treatments based on your doctors medical directions. After each treatment we send a report back to your doctor’s office. In practice we are working for your doctor to help them administer your treatments just as a nurse does in a hospital.
Who do I contact to find out if I can receive my treatments in your clinics?
The best contact is your own doctor, but since our service is relatively new they may need to give us a call or send an email. We can provide the information they require.
